Your Waste Services

Ashfield Council's waste service consists of the following bins:

	Garbage bin – dark green bin
	Recycling bin – yellow lid
	Optional garden waste bin – fluro green lid

Garbage is collected weekly, while recycling and garden waste is collected fortnightly. Service dates are provided on Council's waste calendar that is distributed to letterboxes in July each year. Click here to find out garbage collection days for your street or phone Council on 9716 1800.

Bins should be placed out for collection on the nature strip on the night prior to collection day. Bins should be returned to your onsite storage area as soon as possible after emptying.

Missed Service
If your bin has not been collected check the following:

• you have the right collection day
• the right bin is out on the right week
• you have the correct materials in your bin
• your bin must weigh less than 70kg. If you cannot lift the front of the bin and move it with one hand it is too heavy.

Broken Bins
Contact Council on 9716 1800 for repairs to your bins.

Stolen/Lost Bins
Report lost or stolen bins to Council on 9716 1800. The first replacement bin is free of charge but additional replacements will incur a cost. Such payment should be made prior to the issue of bins.

Additional Services
Additional services can be provided at a cost. This cost will be added to your rates. Contact Council for an Additional Waste Collection Service form or download form.

Leave all bins behind for new residents.
