I am an environmental health, building and planning professional with 32 years experience in local government administration and bring a wealth of knowledge to the decision making level of local government.
In 1999 I was awarded the Public Service Medal in the Queens Birthday Honours List for outstanding service as Manager of Planning and Building with Leichhardt Municipal Council.
I was a pioneer advocate for the conservation of Haberfield's Federation Architecture and streetscapes and vigorously pursued the inclusion of conservation guidelines for Haberfield in the Ashfield Town Plan and Development Controls.

Priorities
Broadly, to ensure Council provides an avenue for fair go for all in our community who seek its services. |
Communication with residents via regular newsletter. |
Particular emphasis on addressing the needs of minority groups, disadvantaged individuals and those with a disability. |
That the heritage of the built environment of Haberfield as included on the Register of the National Estate is conserved while recognising that the area is a living suburb not a museum. |
That Council does not lose sight of the core objectives of local government namely, to ensure public health, safety and convenience is maintained and enhanced through sound engineering, environmental and financial management of public assets such as local roads, footpaths, kerb and guttering, drainage and parkland. |
