Amendment to the Valuation Base Date on Ashfield Municipal Council Rates and Charges Notices 2008/2009

Ashfield Council Rates and Charges Notices for the 2008/09 financial year were posted on the 28th July 2008. As you may be aware, a valuation base date of the 1st July 2007 has been used for the first time. Rates and Charges Notices which have been issued, show the valuation base date as the 1st July 2004. This date reference is incorrect and should have read the 1st July 2007.

Ashfield Council would like to confirm the valuations shown on your notice do relate to the base date of 1st July 2007 and all Rates and Charges have been calculated correctly. Should you like to discuss this matter further, please contact Council’s Rates Section on 9716 1800.
