Ashfield Aquatic Centre
Ashfield Aquatic Centre has a range of services to cater for the whole community. It caters for all ages with:
- Three outdoor heated pools
- One indoor heated pool
- Learn to swim classes
- Aqua aerobics
- Childcare
- Easy parking
- Swimming Clubs
There are two grandstands facing the Olympic pool both covered with shade, which makes it ideal for school swimming carnivals. The indoor pool enables the centre to be open all year. The indoor pool features four lanes for lap swimmers, a programme pool, toddlers pool, areas for aqua aerobics and a ramp for disabled and elderly access.
Lockers, cubicles and hot showers are available for a small charge.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Closure of outdoor pool for maintenance September-October 2009
The 50m pool will be closed from Monday 28 September 09 to facilitate the reopening of the 33m deep pool. It is expected that the 50m and 33m pools will re-open on Sunday 4 October 09. During this closure period the indoor pool will remain open.
Council apologises for any inconvenience.
Ashfield Aquatic Centre Hours
Monday to Friday 6am to 7.45pm and Saturday/Sunday/Public Holidays 6am to 5.45pm
The Centre is closed Christmas Day and Good Friday. Fully qualified pool staff are in attendance during all opening hours.
The Ashfield Aquatic Centre Child Minding Service is now open. The service operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9.30am and 1.30pm.
