Children's Library Services

The Ashfield Library aims to fulfill for the informational, recreational and educational needs of all young people 0-18 years of age.

In addition to a wide range of books and audio visual materials to borrow, the service offers a year-long programme of events to suit all ages, including storytime sessions every week, the annual Summer Reading Challenge, school holiday activities and parent support. 

Access to PCs and the resources of the Internet are among the other services available for children at Ashfield’s libraries

Book Week 2016

A huge congratulations to all the winners of our Book Week Competitions. Children in years k-2 were asked to draw a picture of their favourite Australian animal, and children in years 3-6 were asked to write a story about their favourite place in Australia. There were over 900 entries!
