Children's Library Services

The Ashfield Library aims to fulfill for the informational, recreational and educational needs of all young people 0-24 years of age.

In addition to a wide range of books and audio visual materials to borrow, the service offers a year-long programme of events to suit all ages, including storytime sessions every week, the annual Summer Reading Challenge, and a reading group and parents support.

Access to PCs and the resources of the Internet are among the other services available for children at Ashfield’s libraries.

Children are invited to celebrate the Very Hungry Caterpillar's 40th Birthday Picnic at the Darrell Jacksons Gardens on Friday 9th October, 10.30am.
Bring a picnic morning tea and enjoy the stories, songs and games. No bookings required.

Very Hungry Caterpillar Colouring Competition

There are 3 Very Hungry Caterpillar Prize Packs to be won!   DOWNLOAD COLOURING COMPETION
The competition is open to all preschool and kindergarten aged children. Completed entries must be  returned to the Ashfield Library Service before 7pm Friday 23 October 2009.
Prize winners and their friends/class will be invited to a Very Hungry Caterpillar Party at the Ashfield Library Level 3, on Thursday 29 October 2009, 11am.
