ABC Swimming (previously Rothwell Swim Academy)
Imagine your child happy and safe playing in the water. At ABC Swimming we teach adults, babies and children the basic ABCs of swimming, to the latest techniques for Australian Swim Champions, so everyone can enjoy the water, anytime.
There is a program for everyone; at ABC Swimming we can fast track you through our Private Swim Lessons, Holiday Intensive or Term Program. Let us take the stress out of learning to swim, you never having to rebook, our indoor heated pools allow you to swim rain or shine and our qualified staff are here to provide you safe enjoyable swimming lessons.
We guarantee your child will be safe and happy at ABC Swimming. To show you how dedicated we are to ensuring that you and your child is safe around water, we are offering you a FREE TRIAL SMALL GROUP LESSON , when you book into one of our programs.

Aqua Aerobics
Aqua Aerobics classes for the general public are held regularly at the Aquatic Centre for a reasonable price.
A combination of Swimming and Aerobics, Aqua classes held in the pool are designed to increase cardio-vascular fitness as well as tone your muscles. It is suitable for, not only men and women but all fitness levels including the super fit, those new to exercise, are pregnant, or recovering from an illness or injury.

Western Suburbs Water Polo
Wests Water Polo Club has been based at Ashfield Aquatic Centre for the past 25 years. Boasting a membership of 102 players, Wests caters for all skill levels and age groups from U14 to the Australian National League.
When: Year round. General club training is Mondays 6.30 pm.

Ashfield Amateur Swimming Club
The Club has operated continuously since February 1963 and has become an important part of the Ashfield Aquatic Centre.
The club is a not-for-profit, family-oriented, community swimming club and everyone is encouraged to participate. There are 20 and 30 metre races for those learning to swim, through to longer distances (50, 100, 200 & 400 metres) for juniors, teens, seniors and the Mums and Dads.
There is a comprehensive Life Saving program and we have fun and enjoyment with an active social calendar.

Aqua Cafe
The Aqua Cafe offers a variety of food including an assortment of healthy products. Swimming attire and equipment is also available for purchase. Birthday parties are also catered for by appointment.
The Aqua Cafe also trades to Elizabeth Street.

Swim Safe
The Department of Sport and Recreation offers regular Swim Safe swimming classes for children of all ages and adults.

Cadigal Room
The Cadigal Room is located within Ashfield Aquatic Centre and hosts a range of activities, including gentle exercise classes and yoga, dance rehearsals, English classes and information seminars.

Child minding (0-6 years)
Parents can have a relaxing swim and not have to worry about their children by taking advantage of a child minding service. The service is free and all carers are fully qualified.
When: Every Tuesday and Thursday 9.30 am - 1.30 pm
