Meetings

The Committee:-

Develops and reviews waste management strategies, recycling policies, planning, and public education strategies and periodically reviews Council’s Environmental Health codes, policies and guidelines.
Develops forward programs and proposals for the annual expenditure of the Council’s Environmental Levy revenue and monitor Council’s performance in its energy efficiency and in meeting progressive targets for ”greenhouse” reductions.
Advises Council on proposals for facilitating the progressive introduction of a bicycle path network within the Ashfield LGA and on Companion Animal issues and associated policies and strategies.
Monitors contemporary environmental issues confronting the Ashfield LGA including Natural resource conservation and sustainability, tree strategies and proposes policies and strategies to address them.
