Treading Lightly - Free Environmental Workshop Series

Ashfield and Leichhardt Councils have teamed up to present a program of free environmental workshops called "Treading Lightly".

This ongoing program of workshops provides Ashfield and Leichhardt Council residents with information and solutions for everyday sustainable living.

Workshop topics include:

  • Rainwater Tanks
  • Composting & Worm Farming
  • Natural Cleaning
  • Eco Renovations
  • Sustainable Living in Apartments
  • Growing Food in Small Spaces
  • Solar Hot Water Systems

What does your garden grow - Weed Workshop

Increase your awareness of the impact weeds have on our Australian environment with this interactive workshop.
You will also receive information on how to deal with weeds in your own garden, weed identification, disposal techniques and planting alternatives.

Chemical-free Cleaning Don't pollute your home with toxic chemicals. Learn how to make green cleaning products from a few basic ingrediants. Saturday 29 August 2009 9:30am-12noon Leichhardt Town Hall
 Bike Course Join the green transport revolution and rediscover the joys of riding. This course will give you the confidence to get back on your bike and will include tips on bike safety and maintenance. Afterwards there will be the opportunity to bike commute as a group into the city. To be advised To be advised
