Improving the Appearance of Ashfield Town Centre

Nothing is more constant than change and Ashfield Town Centre is certainly changing for the better with Council's new Civic Centre expected to make a significant contribution towards improving the environment of our business area. Unfortunately, many older buildings in the Town Centre have what can only be described as a worn, rundown street appearance. This was identified as a particular problem that needed to be tackled in recent feedback we received from businesses, shoppers and residents about what was important to "fix up" the area.

A properly applied painting "makeover" for buildings in the Town Centre using heritage colours could positively transform them and their surroundings for a relatively modest outlay and to help this happen we did the following:

Arranged for free colour consultations for all property owners/lessees in the Town Centre to provide advice on suitable colour schemes to suit your building. Call Ms.Breda Kelly on 9716 1962 or email her at bredk@ashfield.nsw.gov.au to arrange an appointment - (please note that you will need to provide Ms. Kelly with colour photographs of your building at least 2 weeks before the consultation - these can be emailed or posted to Council quoting "Ashfield Town Centre Painting Improvements- Free Paint Consultation" together with the address of your property and your contact telephone/email details).

Negotiated worthwhile discounts on paint supplies with local inner west businesses for properties located within Ashfield Town Centre (see below for contact details).
