Ashfield Council provides a library network offering reader and outreach services, as well as information and collection services.
These services include a variety of events, activities and initiatives for adults, young people and children including storytime, online tutoring, book clubs, internet courses, HSC lectures, school holiday activities, a home library service, computer and internet access and much more.

Please note: the Library has a new catalogue. The main Catalogue Link will take you to the new catalogue which features our digital collections. The new catalogue has digital assets that Ashfield is making available to the community online. The collection is not extensive but we intend to add more images in the future.
Please note that the local studies room is open on Monday and Tuesday 10.00 till 1.00 PM and on Thursday 2.00PM till 5.00PM.
Ashfield Library now provides IndieFlix with our partner libraries. There are films in many Genres including Zombie, Classic and Cult.

Ashfield Library members now have access to an eLibrary where you can download audiobooks and eBooks - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are hundreds of titles to choose from - simply browse, check out, download and enjoy! All you need is your library card and pin number.

The book chute at Ashfield in the Town Hall is currently closed due to Stage 3 of the Civic Centre redevelopment. The book chute has been relocated to near the old entrance to council, near the CBA ATM and near the entrance to Ashfield Mall.
Wests Ashfield have generously funded 100% of our YourTutor online homework help program for the last 5 years. In 2013/2014 they are again providing 100% funding for this worthwhile program. The YourTutor program supports students in year 4-12 across all subject areas and is a highly valued service that benefits the whole community.
