Medium Term Leasing Options for Council Playing Fields - Community and Stakeholder Consultation
Council is in principle interested in providing medium term leases to sporting clubs that contribute to improving community assets in our parks and playing fields. Suitable contributions might include, for example, a club providing funding to upgrade fencing, irrigation, lighting, amenity blocks or other facilities in accordance with the Plan of Management for the asset. Medium term leases have the potential to provide tangible benefits to the Ashfield community, Council and the sporting clubs. The medium term lease proposal does not seek to change any of the park Plans of Management or to intensify the use of any of the facilities.  This proposal seeks to achieve better usage and improved facilities within the current Plans of Management. This consultation paper has been prepared in order to seek local community and stakeholder feedback on medium term leases.

Draft Charitable Street Collections and Street Stalls Policy and application form

Many organisations which provide a range of services to the community conduct fundraising appeals in the public domain in order to finance their various charitable activities. Ashfield Council is supportive of such endeavours while seeking to ensure only legitimate fundraising is permitted whether for a local organisation or a state or national charity.
