The first step in preparing a development application or if contemplating a request for change to a development standard or land use zoning is to find out about our planning controls.
The aim of these controls to encourage high quality urban design, conserve our heritage and protect amenity.
Ashfield Local Environmental Plan (LEP) sets the framework for the land use structure of Ashfield. The Plan was the outcome of a comprehensive Urban Planning Strategy. LEP Maps include details of land use zones and requirements for development such as maximum permitted building heights and floor space ratio. It establishes the types of development permitted on a particular parcel of land.
The LEP also includes various types of planning Maps > Ashfield LEP 2013 maps
