Council identified a number of objectives for the revitalisation project:
Council appointed urban design and landscape architects Conybeare Morrison who developed a Final Concept Masterplan for the Croydon North precinct. The Masterplan addressed aspects necessary to create a successful neighbourhood retail and commercial precinct for Croydon North, including traffic, parking, streetscape, including street trees, awnings and facades and improvements to pedestrian access and amenity. It will also acknowledged the importance of key landmark features and buildings of local heritage significance.
