SmartBiz - Helping You Save

Save money on waste, energy and water

Ashfield Council is partnering with Canterbury Council to run the SmartBiz - Helping You Save program in 2014-2015 to help businesses in the culturally and linguistically diverse community save money on energy, water and waste costs. Businesses can receive free assessments in one or more of these areas.

Each business will then receive information on how you can reduce your waste, energy and water. Ongoing face to face support will be provided by our Business Sustainability Officer to help guide you through this process and improve your environmental performance. The advice will focus on simple, no-cost or low-cost solutions that will allow you more time to work on your core business needs.

The benefits of a joining our SmartBiz program include:

  • Helps lower your operating costs
  • Will reduce your impact on the environment
  • Highlights your commitment to sustainable business practices
  • Positions your business as a socially and environmentally responsible market leader
  • Turns your business into a 'SmartBiz'
