Tutors of the English Conversation Program 2017

Volunteering with Inner West Council provides many benefits such as a sense of fulfillment, skill development, new friendships and a stronger sense of community.  

We welcome you to make a positive difference in your life and the lives of others through various volunteering opportunities such as:

English tutor for the English Conversation Program

  • Every Friday during School Term 10.00am to 12.00pm 
  • Every Wednesday during School Term 1.00pm to 3.00pm 

Language Help Desk (Mandarin-English)

Every Monday 10am-12noon.

Sustainability GreenWay bushcare

Working bees are held twice a month on Sundays from 9:00am to 12:00pm with activities including planting, weeding and mulching.

New Locals Inner West app

New Locals Inner West is a smartphone application (app) which has been designed to support and assist people who have recently arrived in Australia and the Inner West either on a humanitarian visa and or seeking asylum. Join the team that works to ensure the information in this app is correct and up to date.

Volunteers who are under 18 years of age would need a parent/guardian to co-sign the Application Form.

Volunteering roles that have direct contact with children will need a Working with Children Check clearance obtained for free.
