Mission Australia Literacy Classes : MAY : Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays,  2:30pm - 4:30pm

Mission Australia is generously providing free literacy classes during the National Year of Reading. Classes are run monthly every Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 2:30pm - 4:30pm. Everyone 18 years and over are welcome to join this class to improve general literacy. You are encouraged to book for the whole month if possible. Please bring your own pens and paper. Sorry, no child minding is provided.  Theme  for April is 'Escape' which is the National Year of Reading Theme for this month.

National Sorry Day talk with Patricia Blackman : Friday 25 May, 11am

National Sorry Day is an Australia-wide observance held on May 26 each year. This day gives people the chance to come together and share the steps towards healing for the Stolen Generations, their families and communities. Stolen generations refer to Aboriginal Australians who were forcibly removed from their families and communities.

Local Aboriginal resident, Patricia Blackman, will talk about her life experiences.
