Writing classes for Adults with Geoff Bartlett

Writing a film script on Saturday 8th and 22nd August, 10am -12pm. This is a 2 week course so you need to book for both sessions.

All films begin with an idea. During this workshop, you’ll be guided in the process of getting your ideas onto the page, taking into account the technical elements of a film script. From there, you’ll learn how to turn your concept into a professionally formatted screenplay.

Creating an E book on Saturday 15th August, 10am -12pm

An eBook is a great way to publish your stories or skills in an inexpensive way and offer them to the public. This workshop will cover everything you need to know to get your eBook online. Topics include: cover design, formatting, pricing, websites and generating sales.

Create an outline for your book on Friday 7th and Friday 21st August, 10 am -12pm. This is a 2 week course so you need to book for both sessions.

Writing a fiction or non-fiction book can be exciting and frustrating. But you can save yourself a lot of time by first outlining what it is you want to say. This workshop helps you make sure you’ve answered all the questions you need to before you start writing your book.
Venue Level 2 Local Studies Room Ashfield Civic Centre.

Comic Con-Versation 2015

Local Studies Room

Ashfield Library now has a dedicated Local Studies room on level 2 Ashfield Civic Centre.

The hours of opening for local studies and family history research are:

Mondays and Tuesdays 10am-1pm and Thursdays 2pm-5pm.

The room is also open for private study on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1.30pm-4.45pm, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.00am-4.45pm and Thursdays from 9.00am-1.00pm.

The room is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
