Sydney Writers' Festival presents with Ashfield Library Michael Robotham Life or Death

Why would someone escape from prison the day before they are due to be released? Internationally best-selling crime writer Michael Robotham has called his tenth novel, Life or Death, ‘a thriller and a love story and a lesson in never giving up hope.’ Join Michael as he talks about his thrilling new standalone book and what life is like as one of Australia’s most successful writing exports. 

6pm for 6.30pm start. Free event, live music and refreshments before 6.30pm.

Chinese Film Screening: Say Yes

Thursday May 21 2015  Ashfield Library Level 2 Local Studies Room

Time: 10:30 am -12 pm.

Ashfield Library will be screening the Chinese film Say Yes from director Leste Chen. This romance movies is in Mandarin with English subtitles and is rated PG.

Light refreshments provided.

This event is free, bookings essential.

Local Studies Room

Ashfield Library now has a dedicated Local Studies room on level 2 Ashfield Civic Centre.

The hours of opening for local studies and family history research are:

Mondays and Tuesdays 10am-1pm and Thursdays 2pm-5pm.

The room is also open for private study on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1.30pm-4.45pm, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.00am-4.45pm and Thursdays from 9.00am-1.00pm.

The room is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
